LES RUNWAY DESIGNER APPLICATION
LES Runway is a month long fashion event taking place on the Lower East Side during the month of September. The concept will be made up of a series of events including runway shows, panel discussions with industry professionals, and a pop-up shop. The focus will be on emerging New York City designers, giving them a platform to show their collections. There is a $15 application fee to help pay for all the events.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY:
- - Designers must work in one of the five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island.
- - Ability to produce a minimum of 10 looks (for apparel) to be showcased in one of the runway shows. Accessory / Footwear designers need to produce a minimum of 5 styles.
- - Of the looks/items you must have the ability to produce 3 saleable items (minimum quantity of 3 each) to sell in the pop-up shop. These should be ready made items. Customers can also have the option to order certain items. These must be produced and sent to the customer within 4-6 weeks.
- - 2 nights in addition to the runway events where you can meet with industry professionals to talk about your line and inspiration.
- - Menswear, Womenswear, Footwear and Accessory designers welcome.
- - Applications must be received by July 25th 2011
